Our partnership with Amber Cars gives all students the access to the Safe Taxi Scheme which ensures that all students can get a lift home in the hours of darkness, even if they don’t have any money for the fare. Amber Cars offers the service to students in emergency situations, including lone students with no other means of getting home and individuals who think they or their friends have been spiked.

The Scheme is available seven days a week and a vehicle will be sent to vulnerable students as a matter of priority.

The partnership also allows us to work with one of the largest private hire car companies in Leeds! We're always in conversation about ways they can continue improving their service for the Leeds Beckett community on accessibility issues, safety issues and other issues that may arise. This partnership enables us to have an open platform to communicate our ideas and pass student feedback. This then makes it easier to actively work on student complaints/feedback and find solutions with them.
