As the warm weather returns to Leeds, the best way to spend your summer is by taking advantage of it for as long as you can! If you’re thinking of going out for some afternoon or evening drinks and want to stay in the sunshine, here are some of Leeds’ best rooftop bars for a perfect view of the city. 

Sky Lounge

For boozy brunch or late night tipples, the Sky Lounge in Leeds boasts a heated terrace with panoramic views of the city skyline. As well as a diverse range of “world-inspired” cocktails, the bar also offers champagne, wines, beers, and alcohol-free versions of their best drinks. If you’re looking for food, then you can visit their restaurant below the terrace as well! 

Angelica

Nestled in the Trinity Shopping Centre, Angelica is a trendy cocktail bar and restaurant with a beautiful terrace over the city. On Fridays throughout summer Angelica is hosting “Sunset Sessions” with DJs on their rooftop to inspire you through their extensive cocktail menu.

Headrow House

Headrow House has everything. So, it can be no surprise that as well as having the impressive Ox Restaurant and their amazing line-up of gigs and events, Headrow House has not only one but two roof terraces! A student favourite, Headrow House always has an event or drink for everyone in a great social atmosphere. 

Belgrave

In the same vein as Headrow House, this list wouldn’t be complete without its sister Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen. Belgrave is a three-floor 1930s venue that regularly hosts live gigs, comedy, and films as well as art exhibitions and markets. In the afternoon and evening, they serve burgers, fries, and pizza downstairs and have their beautiful rooftop terrace for enjoying your food and drinks upstairs. 

The Alchemist 

Also above the Trinity Shopping Centre, you have another location for the popular chain The Alchemist. The Alchemist is known for its theatrical cocktails prepared with scientific precision, and what better way to enjoy them than on their terrace above the city? This bar is great for birthdays or celebrations, as something a little special.
