Cross-communities Action Group Meeting

Rosebowl 231, City Campus

Monday 11 December, 1- 2pm

This all-communities action group meeting brings together students across all our Leeds Beckett communities to chat about active campaigns and projects intended to create positive change and enhance your student experience. You can receive support from peers, share progress on your campaigns and generate excitement and momentum to progress the change you want to see!

This meeting is open to all, whether you are already actively part of a change-making campaign or whether you’re interested in getting more involved.

 

Chai & Chit Chat

LBSU Communal Space, Headingley Campus
Tuesday 12 December, 11:30am – 1:30pm

Join us for a chat with fellow students and LBSU Officers whilst enjoying a hot drink! Drop in for as long as you like and enjoy the chance to relax with friends.

 

Eco Soup Kitchen and Shop Zero

Eco Soup Kitchen, just next to The Hive, City Campus

Tuesday 12 December, 12 - 2pm

Come and visit our Eco Soup Kitchen this Tuesday and receive a nutritional and affordable homemade soup. With a pay as you feel system, this lunch can be as cheap as you need it to be, and a great meal to keep you going through the day. Shop Zero will also be open from 11am for you to stock up on zero-waste pantry essentials!

 

Give it a Go!  Crafternoon - Christmas Origami Decorations

LBSU Communal and Social Spaces, City and Headingley Campus

Tuesday 12 December, 2- 4pm

Celebrate the upcoming holiday by creating Christmas origami decorations to sprinkle around your house! From simple snowflake to challenging reindeers, we have something for all abilities, offering you a space to relax between lectures and study sessions.

 

Leeds Domestic Violence Service Drop-in

Portland G02 (Students' Union private office), Portland Building, City Campus

Tuesday 12 December, 2- 4pm

If you need some help regarding domestic violence and advice for your next steps, then drop in to our Portland Building this Tuesday for our support workers to give you some help.

Thursday 14 December, 9:30 - 11am

Start your day right this Thursday with our pay-as-you-feel breakfast. With plenty of options to choose from, there’s something for everyone. You can even grab a hot drink whilst you’re with us too!

 

Sexual Health Screenings with Yorkshire Mesmac

Mesmac's stall by the LBSU Welcome Desk, Portland Building, City Campus

Thursday 14 December, 10:30am - 3pm

On Thursday we have the opportunity for students to have an informal chat or appointment with a sexual health clinic advisor. We also welcome drop-ins if you’re walking by!

 

Eco Soup Kitchen and Shop Zero

Thursday 14 December, 12 - 2pm

Come down for a pay-as-you-feel healthy soup this Thursday. Eco Soup provides a great on campus meal between lectures that’ll leave you feeling energised for those afternoon lectures! You can also pop into Shop Zero to fill up on essentials like rice, pasta and lentils.
