We provide support for eight areas which include Leeds General Infirmary, Leeds Children’s Hospital, Leeds Cancer Centre, St James’s University Hospital, Chapel Allerton Hospital, Seacroft Hospital, Wharfedale Hospital and Leeds Dental Institute.

We support NHS staff to deliver the best care for over a million patients and their families each year. Working with local communities, schools and businesses across the city and beyond, each year we provide £5 million in additional funding for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.

    We are recruiting new volunteers for our wonderful Crossgates store! By volunteering as a Retail Volunteer you will get involved...

    By volunteering as a Retail Volunteer you will get involved with all aspects of shop volunteering, including shop floor and stock room activities. As part of our charity shop team, you will help to raise important funds to support patients and staff across Leeds Teaching Hospitals - whilst meeting new people, learning new skills and having a great time!

    Your tasks will include; 

    • Meeting and welcoming customers
    • Operating the till, including processing sales and returns
    • Capture Gift Aid income information
    • Merchandising and creating stylish stock displays
    • Replenish stock on the shop floor
    • Sorting, steaming, and pricing donated items
    • Stock-taking and other administrative tasks
    • Raising awareness of the charity and promoting our campaigns and events
    • Keeping the shop tidy and clean in line with health and safety requirements

    What will you be doing:

    • Upcycle and rework items of clothing, jewellery and accessories from donations sent into the shops.
    • Helping raise awareness of our charity shops and Leeds Hospitals Charity
    • Potential to develop ‘own style’ of clothing, accessories and jewellery
    • Creating new and exciting items for our shop in the Merrion Centre and eventually across our other shops
    • Working closely with shop managers and volunteers to promote key areas
