Quiet Spaces at LBSU Freshers Fairs

Freshers

We know that crowds and noise aren't for everyone, so this year each of our Freshers Fairs will have a designated quiet space.

Coming to university is a new and exciting time in your life, but it can also be overwhelming. It's a lot of change to process all at once, particularly during Welcome Week when there's so much going on!

For those who prefer a more relaxed environment rather than the hustle and bustle of big events - we get that. Which is why this year we have a dedicated quiet space at each of our Freshers Fairs. In this quiet space you'll be able to chat with a member of the team from LBSU to find out all about Leeds Beckett Students' Union, away from the busier atmosphere at the fairs.

If there's a particular stall such as a society or student group you're interested in and want to find out more, a member of our staff will be happy to head over on your behalf to pick up some information (and freebies if they have any!) to bring back to you.

The first hour of the Headingley Fair will also be a designated quiet hour, so if crowds and noise aren't for you, feel free to come down for a browse, grab some freebies, and then head to the quiet area if you'd feel more comfortable.

You can find these spaces on each campus during the fairs; at city campus you can find us in the Living Room (straight up the stairs as you come through the front doors of The Hive,) and at Headingley campus we'll be outside the entrance to the fair in a gazebo.

Keep an eye on our socials @LeedsBeckettSU during the fairs for more information about these spaces, including further directions on how to find them, and who you can find inside!

We'll see you there!
